Doublet – what is that?

Medieval doublet is being made of jacquard with beautiful pattern. Cotton or linen lining makes your doublet more comfortable.

Doublet is being fastened with 9 button in the front, and also has 8 buttons on each sleeve.

This doublet was the most spreading model in the second half of XV century.

More often, doublet was thin and tight. Both, usual footmen and gentle knights were wearing such doublet. Depending on the social status, quality of fabric was varying very much. Different types of fabric are available in options: hardwearing linen or cotton, firm leather, soft wool or velvet.

For better protection and character’ creating, we recommend you to wear brigandine of English archer of the XVth century over this model of medieval doublet.
